Position Summary:
Sheffler & Company is currently seeking a CAD Drafter to support Engineers with site layouts and updating marked-up drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.
Position Responsibilities:
- Produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
- Create residential/commercial land development projects including but not limited to the following: Site Layout Plans, Grading Plans, Utility Layout and Design, Road Profiles, Storm and Sanitary Profiles etc…
- Work from rough sketches and specifications created by multiple sources
- Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or reduce potential problems
- Prepare designs for review by engineers and/or surveyors
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Proficient in using Civil 3D 2016 or newer
- Stormwater and E&S design experience
- Storm sewer calculation and design experience
- General knowledge of surveying and existing conditions
- Ability to work independently to deliver complete and accurate designs within a schedule timeline and budget
- Excellent mathematical and critical thinking skills
Position Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of experience as a Civil Draftsman preferred
- 12D experience useful but not essential
- Work as part of a team environment and explicitly follow directions issued to them
- Good understanding of and willingness to learn new technology
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Ensure work is executed on time and in accordance with manager and client requirements while adhering to all company policies/procedures
- Communicate effectively and positively with all clientele and coworkers

Salary/Wage:
- Hourly rate commensurate with qualifications and experience
